  1. Being much enamoured with just staying in one gear, I've noticed
    recently that the chain seems to be slipping when I go up a steep
    hill. It's a chain that's probably only done a few hundred miles.
    Common sense would suggest that sprocket and chain would wear out
    pretty quickly but is that the case?

    If any single-speed enthusiasts can lend their expertise I'd be most
    grateful.
