  1. (Also on Cycling + forum)

Anyone had the shoulder operation to correct impingement (sub acromonial
decompression in doc-speak)? I know everyone is different, but I'd be
interested in anyone's experiences, how soon til cycling again, and any
use of a turbo trainer while off-bike.

    Thanks.

  2. No experience, but some guidance here:

This is for minor out-patient surgery. Is that what you are being
    offered?

My wife had a sub-clavian venous embolism freed from an additional rib
last year, this was general anaesthesia and conisderable surgery.
Recovery was on timescales of month rather than week.

I think you will be told you can do what you feel up to. Not helpful
until you try something. One would imagine that you would want to avoid
loading the shoulder and lateral sheers.

Hope this is of some help.

Standard disclaimer IANAMD although I get to experiment on people for a
    living :-)

    regards,
    daren
