  1. and save time?

I originally posted this as part of another post, but I thought a few people
might enjoy this attempt at "transport planning". SGlos council have very
positive pro-cycling policies, and quite a few specifically related to the
Greater Bristol Bus Network scheme. These policies have been in place for
eleven years. They have never been carried out, with the most usual excuse
being "it's an oversight and it'll never happen again." Ho, ho, ho.

Small prize for the person spotting the highest number of hazards for
    cyclists introduced by this scheme.

For a bit of local reference, this is on the north Bristol Fringe, an area
of rapid development, almost totally car-based, and suffering from very
significant congestion. There is another roundabout, a motorway junction,
about 400m north of this one. There is no other viable route for cyclist
north out of Bristol without making a large detour.

    Burt,
I don't doubt what you're saying, but the linked article honestly gives (me)
    so little information it's useless.
Considering all the cash this document might have cost us all - why did they
    bother?
Unless useless job creation is an aim.
    John
