  1. Hey! So I'm just under 18 but I'm very motivated into biking and thinking about getting a Specialized Allez Compact Sport or something along those lines. I usually bike relatively long distances most days of the week (4-5 days a week) averaging around 30-45 miles per day. Reasons for this is that I've heard that you could use the Allez for free road bike riding and enjoyable purposes, but also if you want to switch over to racing, you could use it for local races as well. I got enough for it. At the moment I only got a cheap 100$ Cross bike so it might take awhile for me to get accustomated to a brand new road bike. What do you guys think?

  2. The Allez is one of the highest rated entry level road bikes ever made. It's been around forever. I'd save up a few extra bucks to get the Allez Elite but even the sport is a solid bike.

Yea after doing some research, I was leaning toward the Allex elite now. Instead of having Shimano sora which is kind of a low end gear shifter system, the elite has Shimano Tiagra which is a bit better and more dependable. Really can't wait riding and testing it out though once the weather gets nicer.

  4. Personally, since my first bike is a starter bike and not my permanent bike, I'm going for a good one, but cheaper one. I just need something to get me accustomed to riding and let me get comfortable in the bike and with my surroundings while I'm riding. It will also give me a slight idea of what is going to be my priorities when looking for my new bike.
