I've been on and off the bike for various reasons over the course of 4 months. I trained through the winter and was going great, til I was about to race and I got in a bad accident. Picked it up after a month+ and was starting to feel strong again, then comes a full time job out of nowhere for the summer, which started a week ago. Since then I have not been able to get on the bike much, but I think my fitness is pretty good from the time in-between but of course it's waned a bit since I started working. My last ride was an hour on my rollers two nights ago and I felt pretty good and I was going to ride yesterday but I just didn't have the time. My question to you all is what can I do to get the most out of my body in order for my first race on Sunday? I know I don't have a great chance to do so well but if I can squeeze a couple more watts out then that's the game plan. What should I eat between now and then (2 days), and should I ride tonight or tomorrow or does it not matter at this point? If so what kind of ride, long, short, hard, east, etc? Any tips for "cramming" for a race would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you won't be able to increase fitness in 2 days, so I'd counsel against doing any prolonged hard efforts. I'd probably do a 1/2 hr to 45 min easy both days. Perhaps go and ride a section of the course, if you're unfamiliar with it. Make sure you're well nourished, hydrated and well rested. Give the bike a once over, or have a mechanic do it, before you race.
Other than that, good luck.
