  1. I've been riding my Bianchi Volpe for a year now, mostly to work so I have Wellgo pedals with clips that work with my regular shoes. I'm now going on some weekend tours of about 50 miles per day and I want a better set up for those hill climbs while still allowing me to walk with ease.

I'm considering Pyramid "Trekking" pedals that have SPD on one side and a regular MTB cage (for my daily commute) on the other side and Shimano SH-M038
shoes. What is your opinion of this combo? Will it work for extended touring?
