Shoe sizes

You should get the same size or slightly bigger (feet swell when you ar
riding) it really depends where the shoe is made

You should try some on because different brands have different
characteristics.

I take a 9 or 10 normal shoe and a 45 Carnac road and MTB shoe.

But I find Sidi shoes fit me better in a 44.

Im a 10-11 depending on the style. I take a 45 bikeshoe (Look roads
Lake mtbs

i find the biggest bugbear in general is the width. Italian shoes ar
too tight (altho my old Diadoras were beautiful)

definetly allow some swell and try on with the socks you intend as tigh
cleats can be a real pain-literally. Gave me numb feet on an older ill
fitting pair..

Fitting shoes is simple - you try them on. Only the very brav
(foolish?) or the very desperate buys them without trying them on. I

Most, but not all, cycling shoes are sized to the main European system
Australian size 10 corresponds to European 44 and size 11 to 45. 44 i
267 mm long and 45 is 279 mm. The width and shape of the shoe varie
with the manufacturer and the model

I enjoy cycling too much to put up with painful feet. There is enoug
unavoidable pain at times to be going on with. Try before you buy. I
the shoes fit you don't need to know the size
