I previously had a pair of Specialized Sonoma shoes in a EUR 48. They were too small and gave me pain in the little toe area. They were basically too narrow for me.
I have just purchased a new pair of Sidi Zeta Mega in a EUR 50. They are much wider, but also much bigger generally in the toe box area. Length wise they are perfect but I have room to wiggle my toes and i can actually lift my toe area very slightly as there is a little room for movement over the top of my foot.
Should i be concerned about this? With my old shoes i had zero movement. I obviously want a shoe that is comfortable but not one that i don't get maximum pedal power transfer.
Anyone know how much wider the MEGA range actually is? Maybe i would have been better off with the standard width shoe?
I'm asking these questions now, as i don't want to void the warranty by attaching my cleats before deciding if the shoes are suitable.
Advice greatfully received.
