  1. How do I determine what shock stroke my bicycle needs? I haven't found
out much from the manufacturer. I measured the shock as 7.875" eye to
eye, but I can order either a 2.00 or 2.25 stroke. Does anyone know
what the correct stroke is for a 1998 Santa Cruz super 8?

Measure the distance between the shock bolts, then depressurize the
shock and measure the new distance between the bolts. The difference
in the measurements is the travel of the shock.
