I am gathering parts for a 2005 Stumpjumper FSR Pro build (my first build) and need to know what size steertube is needed for the front shock. I'm looking at some used shocks that have been cut and don't want to purchase one that won't fit. Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe the head tube length varies depending upon the frame size of the bike. Do you have the bike frame? If yes, just measure the length of the head tube and add enough extra for your stem and spacers (if needed).

BTW. If you are asking about the diameter of the steering tube's column, it is 1 1/8" ...
