Shock compatibility chart?

  1. Hey all

    I believe my wife's Fox float is beyond repair. I see lots of replacement
    shocks available in Web land in the 6.5" size. Her original (off a 2001
    Stumpy) is a 6" eye to eye.

    Can I get a 6.5" for it and reduce the pressure (i.e. increase sag) to
    account for the 1/2? difference?

    Anybody know of a chart somewhere to ID specific shock specs for individual
    bike models back that far?

    Why don't you just replace it with another Fox (Float or Float RP3) that
    has the same eye to eye? The only issue will be the bushing spacers,
    which you can get from Fox, if need be.

  3. Out of curiosity, how come it won't work? You can pull a similar move with
    a fork.
