shimano ultegra rear derailleur

There's usually a model number stamped/forged somewhere on the derailleur,
usually on the back plate of the parallelogram. It's usually RD-XXXX where
the first X denotes the series. 4 denotes Tiagra, 5 denotes 105 series, 6
denotes Ultegra, 7 denotes Dura-Ace, and below that is usually older stuff.

Look on the back side for a number stating RD-[censored]. Many
r.b.t. contributors know these by heart.
