Shimano RSX 7sp question

I have a Shimano RSX 7speed triple. The LH lever siezed up. I took it off and found it is model ST-A410. I have seen ST-A416 and ST-A417 on EBAY. What's the difference? You can't buy them new from Shimano anymore. Shimano recommended I try SORA. Are they much better? Wilfred
