I have a Campy BB that would creak when I put force on the pedals - bike at rest or moving - this was temporarily solved with Loctite 660 spread on the surface where the cups slide onto the bearing - over time however this epoxy resin breaks down and the creaking returns.
As a permanent solution I'm looking at the Shimano Hollowtech II crank/BB combo - outboard bearings - and was wondering how they are under heavy pedal torque ?? Any creaking ??
I'd appreciate feedback from any users of this Shimano product ??
