I just installed shimano compact crank on my Centurion Lemans RS
Everything lines up and works well, however I cannot seem to get the stay pin on the left crank arm to stay connected. I can push is down just fine but when I start to tighten bolts it pops right up.
Any clue what I am doing wrong?

You sure the left arm is well seated on the axle?

I am pretty sure I do when putting it on the tab will go level when I push it down but pops back up when I tighten. Any way to be certain it is properly seated? -

Without installing the arm to the axle tighten the bolt securely. This way you can be sure there's nothing wrong with the threads of the arm or the bolt. Install after doing this. -

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
