  1. I need the thumbscrew doohickey that goes into a DuraAce BR-7403-49
    brake (circa 1995). It's the threaded stud that slides into the brake,
    with a cable recepticle on one end, that is moved up and down by a
    rotating wheel with indents.

    Loosescrews doesn't have it listed. Are any of the modern DuraAce parts
    compatible? Any other suggested sources? Would like to put these
    short-reach brakes on my frame if I can find the part. TIA

    Try to score an older BR-7400 or BR-7402 caliper on ebay. They use the
    same barrel adjusters. Sometimes you see a cheap pair or single
    calipers sold for parts.
