I inherited a vintage (mid 70's-mid 80's ??) Raleigh Competition road bike
with butted Reynolds 531 frame tubes, 12 speed Shimano 600 components, with
side pull brakes..I haven't been able to find this Shimano component model
name...Seems like good quality satin finish alloy...Any info about this bike
or this Shimano model group will be much appreciated

I used to have a Trek of the same basic description. From what I
recall, 600 = Ultegra. -

Ultegra I think (it has the blue/green/teal logos). I believe it was
changed to be called just Ultegra sometime between 1994 and 1997.
