2 weeks ago I got a workman's tanndem with a shimano 3cc hub. I adjusted the hub and brakes and was working great until today when the pedals froze after I start to pedal. If I back up the bike and let the pedals turn backwards and start to go again it will start to pedal for 1/4 to 2 1/2 turns before freezing up again.
Is the hub shot? Is there something I can do to fix it?

I got it fixed. It was a chain problem. I had been fiddling with the kickstand and the masterlink was getting caught on it.
