  1. I have acquired a used 3 speed with Shimano 333. I am aware that it may not last too long; that's ok. I still want to rebuild the bike. I also know not to take these things apart.

The hub is basically fine, but:

Does anyone know the correct sequence of the locknuts and washers on the RH (drive) side? There is a washer with an antirotator tab and I am not sure whether it was intended to keep the locknut from rotating the cone or whether it was intended to keep the axle from rotating in the frame. It has a hole with flats corresponding to the shape of the axle. It has one tab. It is a black oxided part.

If you know, please tell me which side of the locknut the thing goes on and which way the tab should face.
