I understand that the Shimano 9sp chain and 10 sp have the same width at the pins but the bellies in the chain are narrower on 10sp. I thought that the buldges were a good thing for going up from smaller to larger chainrings. Has anyone tried another brand of 10sp chain on a Shimano system and noticed any difference?
I am wanting to try a Shimano chain on my Campy 10 but wanted to make an educated guess as to how well it would work in comparison to the IRD, Wipperman, 9sp HG, that I have experience with.
