I gave my chain the full remove and clean last night, what a difference! I used to use a chain cleaner with about 5 iterations of new cleaning fluid, but this is much cleaner. You can really hear the difference, the chain just purrs away quietly now, and is super shiny.
Of course, as I had the bike upside down I managed to string the 2.5 chains together wrongly the first time. Blame it on my bike's confusing chainline rather than the alcoholic beverage. :P
As a matter of interest, what cleaning solution did you use?

I used diesel at first, then ran out and moved to citrus cleaner, which is what I normally use in the clip on chain cleaner.
