  1. I am 48 and almost run everyday for 4 miles in the high school track
with typical pace around 7 min per mile. I am going to have a race in
a week. Can someone give me advice how should I do in the last few
days before the race. Practice in the same road as race? Easy work
out? Reduce the mileage and try faster pace? Thanks.

What are you looking for in terms of a time goal?

Since it's only a 4 mile race, you don't really need to do anything
special in the last week. Maybe you could take it easy the day before
the race - either take the day off or go for an easy jog, say @9:00 pace
    instead of your usual 7:00.

About reducing mileage and trying faster pace - if you haven't been
doing speedwork in the past few weeks, doing it just this one week won't
make a difference in your race.

    Hope this helps,
    jobs

Just take the last two days off before the race and you'll be loaded for
    bear.

If you want to get fancy, run the last workout at 7:30 - 8:00 pace, and
throw in a 6 or 8 30 second surges (not all out! just fun fast).

You may surprise yourself at the race, let us know how it turns out.
