Most fruit trees are clones, not grown from seeds. When a
tree with a desirable quality is found it is propagated by
grafting a twig from it unto a generic rooted sapling and
only the grafted part is allowed to florish by cutting off
any growth from the root stock. Many other fruiting plants,
ex. strawberries, are also propagated by transplanting and
subdividing plant stocks into multiple plants from the
original plant. Seedless fruit do in fact have seeds but the
fruit ripens before the seeds mature.Quoted message said:
