  1. Hi All,

Old fart, a bit out of touch ........... want's to get fit again !!

Where is the best place to buy a secondhand bike ?? ..... NOT an MTB or Off Road jobbie .......
ideally a fixed rear wheel road / track bike ( I don't need, or did I ever need, in my former time
trial days, 136 gears) just a nice light machine to get the old legs turning again.

    Thanks

    ps

I also have a lovely OLD (1941 Frame) Hobbs of Barbican Reynolds 531 tubing 23/21Track Tandem.

Refurbished (and converted) in 1987 by Arthur Needam (Argos Cycles) into a fast tourer / Audax
    machine ............. needs a good home !!!

I am such an old fart that I may consider an exchange for the tandem .... PROVIDING it goes to a
    good home .............

I wouldn't necessarily look for a fixed wheel - something like an 80's road bike will have
horizontal dropouts, and you can add your own wheel. Much easier to find.

    cheers, clive
