  1. Nobody seems to have mentioned this but Joly cracked badly
in Stage 15, he finished 7:51 behind the stage winners
thats a mere 6:37 behind Kloden and Landis. Unfortunately
for him it catapulted him 4 places up the order
further away from the Laterne Rouge. He gave up
almost 27 minutes to Wim Vansevenant, Aitor Hernandez
and Gert Steegmans and 28 minutes to Jimmy Casper. This
means he has gone from a comfortable 16 minute lead
in the category to almost 11 minutes behind
Vansevenant. With his form shown on stage 15 it
is going to be very hard for him to get that time
back in the mountains which seem to agree with him.
Clearly he will have to hope the flats disagree with
him more than the slopes of the alps have.

    I had to reread this.

I think his best hope is that his breakfast disagrees with him.

Whatever he did overnight to prepare to reclaim his lead, he must have
overcompensated, because he didn't finish today. Vansevenant's lead
must be considered safe now - he even has a teammate in 2nd place to
    defend him.

I guess Joly was overwright from his unexpected ride on
    l'aple d'huez. YOu've definitely got to say
Davitamon-Lotto have it wrapped up and with the green
jersey pretty safe and Cadel Evans still in with
a chance for the yellow it could be a rainbow
    tour for them!

Must be worrying for Flandis, the laterne rouge cracked
on stage 15, the yellow jersey on stage 16. The ex-laterne
rouge withdrew on stage 16, the yellow jersery.....

Vansevenant and Steegmans continue to slug it out,
while the 2004 Lanterne Rouge marks them from four
minutes back. Sad to see team Discovery is not in it.
