  1. I recently purchased a new seat and I have a question. My previous seat was pretty much flat from the horn to the split-tail. The new seat has a mild tilt-up right at the rear of the seat where I sit. Using a level, my seat is flat if I just rest the level on the "horn", but then tilts forward significantly if I lay the level from the tilted up cutout area to the tip of the seat.

Any suggestions on what is considered "level"? Out of fear, I am just using the horn as I don't want the horn to place too much pressure on sometimes-soft tissue.

I wouldn't worry too much about how the angle looks. Ideally, you should sit on your tailbones without sliding forward and you should not feel any soft tissue pressure. I have owned a few different saddles before I found one that was perfect. If you can't get it to feel right, I would consider swapping it. This is an area that you really can't compromise..
