Scratched Roubaix

Dave, don't panic (or puke)...it's really easy to fix scratches on Carbon frames...I just took my six13 apart, cleaned it really good, gave it a good lube and touched up some scratches....

All you need is some Acrylic Nail Varnish, either the color of the part of the frame that is scratched, or simply clear varnish....

Use a sharp tooth pick and dribble the Varnish into the scratch, don't try and fill it all in one go...dribble some in, let it dry completely, then dribble some more....any overfill can be removed with some 1200 grit sand paper (really fine stuff), then polish it with either automotive polish or chrome cleaner, again, wait untill the varnish is completely dry, then polish with some automotive Car wax (I wax my frame with a silicone wax whenever I clean the Bike)....

BTW, the scratches I did tonight are completely invisble now...so it works....

With a carbon fiber frame just how deep does a scratch need to be to cause a problem???

Automotive 'Touch Up' paint, the kind they sell at auto shops to touch up scratches on cars etc works really well and the range of colours is usually pretty good as well 😄 Use the same process as Jaguar27 suggests 😎
