  1. The Scottish Avalanche Information Service has started reporting again
    for the Northern Cairngorms and Lochaber. Other areas will start
    reporting December 21.

    http://www.sais.gov.uk/

    The reports contain info on snow and ice conditions and a brief weather
    forecast as well as avalanche warnings.

    There is snow in the Cairngorms at present, down to 300 metres.
