hi all, i'm on the market for a new bike, and i have only rare access to a car. the two bikes it's come down to are the Trek Earl and the Scott OTG 20.
Anybody know about the OTG 20? I'm a little leery, because it's a designer bike, I can't find any reviews, and they don't have rack mounting holes on the back fork. However, the bike shop with the Trek is damn far, and so I want to see if anyone knows anything about the OTG.

Depends on if you want a fixie or a freewheel with reversable hub for a fixie. Personally, I would go with the Earl because it has more options for preference because it has said reversable hub. It's probably going to be heavier stock though. Replace the handlebars and if you're using it as a fixie leave the front brake and take off the back brake. If you're using it primarily freewheel take off the front brake. Aero/bullhorn bars are the best for this bike, but anything will do rather than stock. Those handlebars are ridiculously heavy. Don't use a rack even though it has options for one. New seatpost may be good as well, like a carbon fiber one. If you're just looking to get around without the freewheel and get the OTG 20. The main issue is weight, but the Earl is really fast once you cross the bridge and customize it... Plus the earl is prettier.
