I've just purchased a Schwinn World Sport on Ebay. On the head badge it has
the numerals "1357" stamped. Is this the date of manufacture? If so, can
someone interpret it for me? Many thanks.

That's the date and month of manufacture. Keep searching. Those
numerals are the key.Somewhere on the Net (I believe it was the Heritage forums on
Schwinn.com) is a cipher for decoding that number. -

http://www.oldroads.com/index.html#mvb_sn has serial number
information for Schwinn and some other bicycle manufacturers.--
