  1. About 10 to 15 years ago I bought a spray can of Schwinn Poly-Tech
Lubricant. I found it one if not the best chain lubricant I have ever
used. Has anyone ever heard of it and, if so, what is your opinion of
it and do you know where to get more? I find it was good for many
lubrication tasks. It had Teflon in it, but there appeared to be a
waxy base to it. It did not hold dirt well, but it still had a good
    film.

I am down to about 5% of it left and would sure like to find some.

  2. I just found 1/2 can of that exact same Schwinn Polytech lube (w/ Teflon)
in my garage and used it on two bikes yesterday. I searched on the internet
and am not able to locate it anywhere. When my can reaches empty, I think
I'm going to give PJ1 (Black) or Maxima Chain Guard a try...

Both PJ-1 and Maxima Chain Guard are great lubes, but you may want to
go with the Maxima if there's much dust or dirt where you ride. I've
used both a lot on motorcycle chains and PJ-1 tends to attract the
grime. Amsoil also has a great lube that is very similar to Chain
Guard called Heavy Duty Metal Protector. It's also good for
rustproofing the inside of steel frames.

Found a nearly identical lub by Dupont (Multi-lub) at Lowes. I also
found a full can of the Schwinn Poly-Tech at a bicycle shop in
    Petoskey, MI.
