I was recently contacted by a scammer regarding an item I have for sale in the classifieds on this site. He used the name Klints Morris, the email address [email hidden], and asked me to call 713-589-3496. I typed the telephone number into google and it is obvious he's a known scammer. Here is an email he sent me:
Am located in winter haven florida 33881,i will be
glad if you will consider the item sold to me because
am very interested to buy.
The payment will be sent to you without delay, and
the form of payment will be either USA certified
cashiers check or a postal money order in the tune of
amount of the final price and do ensure to let me know
as soon as you recieve the payment.
Get back to me with your full name and address so that
i can call my secretary to issue out the certified
check or postal money order and i wouldn't want you to
bother yourself about the shippment i have a frieght
company that ship my goods for me so I will bear the
shipping expenses, i will instruct the frieght company
to come and pick the item from your location and have
it shipped to its final destination as soon as all
shipping arragements are duely met, The shipping
charges, insurance fees and packgaging charges needs
to be secured which will enable the speedy conclusion
of this transaction and the shipment will be carried
afterwards. so i assure you that i will be making
provision for the friegth fee and it will be added to
the payment sent to you which is meant to cover the
shipping expenses ,secure the shippment procedures and
have item shipped without delay.As soon as you recieve
and cash the payment,you will deduct your money and
send the rest of the funds to the shipping/freight
company so that the shipping arrangements can be
finalised. the shipping time is monday to saturday
7:00am-7:00pm
