Welcome to the forum. You didn't specify which frame you are thinking of getting, but I did ride a 2008 Ridley Excalibur fitted out with full Shimano Ultegra except for the wheels which were Fulcrum Racing 5 Evolutions. It felt very stiff compared to other CF bikes that I have ridden, but it was still a comfortable ride, not harsh at all. It tracked extremely well as there was absolutely no lateral flex at the head tube. The responsiveness is going to be more of a function of the components that it is built up with, but it was extremely responsive with the Ultegra/Fulcrum combination. The frame's geometry tends to make it a better climber than most. It actually gets more stable when you are up over the handlebars. The durability is pretty much the same as any other CF bike. I did hear of a rear brake mount defect one time, and the owner was extremely pleased with Ridley's warranty department. He said that the person that he talked to was very nice and helpful.
