  1. Sausage & Macaroni Casserole

    Serving Size : 4

    1 pound sausage meat
    1 onion -- chopped
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1 garlic clove -- chopped
    3 cups macaroni -- cooked
    1 cup mushrooms -- drained
    1 cup cottage cheese
    1/4 teaspoon oregano
    1/4 cup spaghetti sauce
    1/4 teaspoon basil
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
    breadcrumbs -- (opt)
    grated cheese

    Preheat oven to 350F. Saute sausage meat until light brown. Drain fat,
    separate meat with fork, set aside. Saute onion, garlic & mushrooms. Add
    sausage meat, spices. Stir in sauce. Add macaroni & stir. Arrange
    alternate layers of macaroni-meat mixture and cottage cheese; ending with
    meat. Top with bread crumbs & cheese if desired. Bake at 350F for 25-30
    min.
