Hi, I am looking to buy a low maintenance bike. My choices are
1 - Carrera Subway 8 or
2 - Saracen Pylon 4

Hi.
Having used a SUBWAY 2 for over a year, my advice would be to NOT buy a SUBWAY - I have spent a fortune maintaining the bike - new chainset, new bottom bracket, new rear hub, two new chains, new tyres after only a year. Basically, Halfords save money by using cheap components. And I don't things will be any better when it comes to the SUBWAY 8. Also, the SUBWAY 8 has roller brakes - these are not reliable in bad weather as they can seize up.
Go for the SARACEN - excellent spec, nice brakes, looks good. I intend to buy one myself soon.Cheers,
