San Rafael to China Camp trail?

There is a fire road which ascends the back side of San
Pedro Mtn (if you count most of China Camp as being on the
"front" side). I don't remember how to get to this road
from the town side, because I only went down it once and
that was by mistake. I came out in a place (Villa Ave?)
where I had to get on 101N for 1/4 mile and get back off at
N. San Pedro Rd. (It's legal to ride on the shoulder of 101
in that spot.)

The easiest way I can think of to find your trail is to
enter China Camp from the front side, ride up to the
Nike missile site, then continue past it down the road
until you come out. Not very exciting, but it will get
you your answer.

Thanks for the information. Guess I'll have to scout around
a bit and see what I can find. I'm not sure what your
refering to when you reference the Nike missle site, do you
know of any online maps for the area/route?
