Good recipe if you like pepper. Lots of compliments.
2 tsp salt (I used sea salt which I grinded with pestle
&mortar) 1 tsp black pepper (tellicherry) 2 tsp Szechuan
peppercorns(couldn't find so bought a mixture of spiced
peppercorns) 1 tsp sugar 1 lb peeled raw jumbo shrimp (on
sale-even better!) 2 tbsp oil 1 red chili, seeded & finely
chopped (used flakes since didn't have red chili) - Note:
I have never bought a red chili since I think it might be
too hot for me. 1 tsp freshly grated gingerroot 3 cloves
minced garlic & scallions for decorations
Grind salt, peppers -- add sugar Heat oil & add shrimp,
red chili, ginger & garlic stir-fry for 4-5 mins. Add salt
and pepper mixture and stir for about a minute
I made Sesame Salmon with Cream (another good recipe) as
well & balsamic rice. Very tasty.
