    Did Riis really do that well in the last iTT of 97? Wasn't it the year
    Riis practiced throw away your special purpose build 100.000$ bike?

    That was the Disneyland TT of that year. A stage remembered among
    fans of the lanterne rouge as Philippe Gaumont went off first and
    led for most of the day. He eventually finished third.

    The presence of Virenque, Pantani and Zberg in the top-10 there pretty
    much erases any relevance this might have today (although it may be
    inspiration for Ulli).

    It will be interesting to see if anyone will perform a bike switch like
    last time. Then again in 97 they were switching to the now outlawed
    'funny bikes'
