  3. I purchased the "RX-100" brakes shown below (posted here on 8/12). When they
showed up, they were not RX-100 (model BR-A550) but Exage (BR-A250). Also,
rather than being a F&R set, they were two rear calipers (as indicated by the
very short fixing bolt length). Email and PayPal resolution steps have gotten
zero response. While not a big rip-off ($10), at least an "I'm sorry, I screwed
up" would be nice and a refund would be nicer. But nothing at all. For my part,
I did not request photos first. I now know I should have done so. But I KNOW
what RX-100 brakes are as I have several sets. Plus the seller was explicit in
his description. So I just trusted the guy. Oh well! The seller's name is Chris
Howard, his PayPal is [email hidden]. Beware!

  4. I offered you your money back once I finally saw the ONE email you sent
concerning this. You gave the brakes to a bike shop so I can't refund
something I won't be getting back. I seldom, if ever keep up with the
gmail email so I do apologize for not seeing it sooner. I was told
they were RX100 so I passed the info I had along in my post. I did not
have a problem with the buyers of the other items I sold.

  5. Sorry, but you were also sent two emails via PayPal where I registered a
complaint (to no avail, BTW - what a waste of time). I know you get emails from
PayPal as I previously got responses on my payment. The content of those emails
were basically the same as that sent to you directly.

You did finally reply today but only after I posted to RBM. The full text of
    your reply email follows:

"Appearently I don't check my email often enough. Those brakes came off a
older Trek road bike I bought to use for a recumbent project. I was told by
the seller they were RX100 brakes and one was on the front and one on the back.
The one with the long sleeve nut was on the front, the sleeve went into the
fork. For the price I paid for the bike, I didn't investigate whether they
were one brand or another, they worked fine for the very short time they were
used. I in no way tried to deceive you but if you want your money back, fine.
I'll paypal you back the 10 and you can send them back.
    Thanks,
    Chris"

Not even an, "I'm sorry". Instead, you blame others and claim you sent a long
sleeve nut when you did not - they were identical. If the brakes "worked fine"
or not is also not the question. I never claimed they did not work, just that
they were not what was advertised.

You did offer to refund the money IF I PAID RETURN SHIPPING. I guess that is
something. But since the price was $10 and return shipping would be about $5
what is the point, really? Since I got no reply from you, I did give the
calipers to a shop as they were worthless to me. You advertised a dual pivot
model and sent a single pivot model - which I already had and did not need/want.

Whether you sent bogus parts to others or not is also not the question. You
sent them to me. I emailed you multiple specific links to sites which document
the differences between the two caliper sets. So I have documented my claim.
You do not deny sending the bogus parts.

You now do not deny that you had no idea what you were selling even though you
were very specific in your posting (below). Perhaps you relied on bad info from
others, who will ever know? Either way, what you advertised and what you
shipped were not the same thing and that is cause enough for others to beware
of you. That is what/why I posted.
