I've been riding my road bike with a Brooks saddle and road shorts for the last few months without any sores or rashes. Today I road 11 miles on my mountain bike (with a different saddle) up and down some hills (and with the same shorts) and I developed saddle sores.
This might be a very subjective question but can you guys recommend some really good mountain bike saddles that you've used that don't cause sores? I'm thinking that maybe my Brooks works on my road bike so well because the saddle conforms to my rear and it has a smooth finish to it. I don't want to use another Brooks saddle on my mountain bike because the leather hide won't hold up under MB conditions. Could it be that my shorts aren't good enough?? Any help would be appreciated because I don't want to have to be off my mountain bike to heal repeatedly.
Thanks
Andre
