  1. I got a nasty saddle sore after riding for the first time in
a while. It's the abscess type of sore (a "furuncle"😉 under
the skin, right where the sit bone
is. It's been there for 6 days now and seems to be getting
    better, but very slowly.

Anyone else ever have one of these? How long did it take to
heal? Did you keep riding while it was there? Once you get
one of these, are you prone to getting one again? (btw, I
    use padded cycling shorts).

Saddle sores are usually caused by not washing your shorts
    carefully after every use.

  3. Hot baths increase circulation, and will accelerate healing. Twice a day for 20 minutes plus. But don't sit on the abcess while your in there.

    Yes

    About 2 weeks

Yes, 25 miles every weekday. I put zinc ointment on it at
night and I wear clean shorts each day. No underwear under
bike shorts, as I'm sure you know.
