Considering doing the SW coastal path in one go, either
next year or 2006. Has anyone done this and, if so, I
would love to hear how you went about

    it

and how you got on? Many thanks, Judith.

Been walking the path from Poole to the West, a week at a
    time, for the last
2/3 years. We've reached Plymouth and stay in Bed &
Breakfasts which have been plentiful so far except between
Swanage and Weymouth. Booking accommodation on this
stretch is advised, especially at Lulworth. Many river
crossings, and you have to ford one of them - get the tide
times as it is only passable at low tide and this can put
a severe crimp on a day's walking. Even where there is a
ferry, some of the smaller ones appear to have an elastic
    view of time.

Visit the web site - very useful. swcp.org.ukswcp.org.uk

PS been tough at times but some of the sections are
    breathtaking.
