I figured that since running shoes take much more abuse from runners and sprinters than they are likely to get from me walking around town, they may actually make a good walking shoe.
I did a newsgroup search and there seemed to be some positive quacking along my train of thought, but the most recent reference I could find was 1996. Has anyone got any more recent ideas/suggestions?
I have seen a pair of Asics trainers for 60 quid in a local shop and I am under the impression these are regarded as good shoes for running in.
