  1. As some of you may know, I'm running the West High Way race (see
http://www.westhighlandwayrace.org/) in just under 3 week's time. Rather
than run it purely for pleasure I've decided to raise money for the
Alzheimer's Society. It's a cause rather close to my heart as I've watched
(and am currently watching) family members struck down with this disease.

I've raised some money already from friends, family and neighbours but I
thought it only fair to give you all a chance to support this worthy cause
    via a Justgiving website.

    Many thanks.

    Tim

  2. Tim,
Your "run for alzheimers" explains a lot about your posts. I suspected,
    but wasn't sure.

It is a good thing you´ve raised some money offline, because "So far I
have raised: £20.00" is about the most pathetic line of text I´ve
ever read on the Net! In fact it is so pathetic that the only thing
that´ll cure me of the feeling I get is to go out and shoot a dog! I
think I have a few shotgun cartridges in my raincoat pocket...

Anders (who doesn´t have a credit card and whose last penny goes to
    buying another Youthair® bottle, anyway)

LOL! Yeah, I know what you mean but I only set up the site yesterday and
it's got to start somewhere. Of course it would look better to have a few
more big donations there already. Feel free to add to the my total. Debit
    cards accepted too. ;-)

Anders (one of the few reasons to still read rec.running occasionally).

    Cheers!
