I had a mild case of mono for 4 weeks, and seem to be
recovering, and feeling much better. I'll consult with my
doctor next week, but would like to know how soon other
runners went back to their fitness regime after being
diagnosed with mono. Thanks to all who respond. Lucy

the immune system and all that. Plus you haven't eaten well
for a while, I would imagine, even if it was mild.I'm thinking basework would be the best thing, and no fast
or long runs for a bit of time. Since you haven't been
running for a month anyway (I assume), this is what you
should begin with even if you were 100% recovered anyway.
Get some good, gradual work in. Now would be a good time to
do some cross training as well, such as the recumbant or
elliptical machine. Don't get the heart rate too high for a
week or so.cheers,
