"My" trail has about 400 yards of clay mud, followed by MILES of sandy, very wet-rideable, trail, so
I hit it yesterday.
Yep, the beginning was wet and I tore it up, but not nearly as much as the 4WDs that were b4 me, and
I got a workout in too. Then on the way back I carried my bike and cut the trail...YES! I cut cross-
country to avoid further mud damage and accumulation.
I know it's not orthodox MTBer religion, but I feel good about my stewardship of the great outdoors.
Today...5 inches of snow...the bike is almost certainly garaged for the winter.
