Route Help Needed - Walcott, IA to Fulton, IL

Two general routes to choose from.

1: Take old US 6 (F58) to the quad cities, cross over the Centennial
bridge or Lock & Dam bridge, take the bike path all the way to fulton.
This is a very scenic (and flat) path along the east shore of the
Mississippi river.

An alternative to #1 is Y14 south from Wilton to State 22, East along
the mississippi to Davenport, there is a short stretch in town on 61
until you reach the river front bike path at Credit Island (about 2
miles). Bike path to Cennenial Bridge (high arch bridge) or go another
mile past the gambling boats to the 'Government' bridge with it's steel
grate side walk just feet above the water. Take the Illinois side bike
path all the way to Fulton.

2: The cross country route mostly on county roads to Clinton, Iowa,
cross the Mississppi there to Fulton.

There are so many paved county roads to choose from.

North to Bennett, east to New Liberty, Dixon, McCausland, Folletts take
US 67 into Clinton.

If the bridge is still out just north of McCausland, take F33 east to
67.

Roads to avoid:
State 38 south from Wilton (narrow and fast traffic)
US 61 (way busy)
US 30 (way busy & fast traffic)

good Roads in Iowa.
Just about any county road that starts with a letter (F58 or Y14, etc)
State 22 from Muscatine to Davenport is good too.
