The Tour de France needs a new champion. The only guy I see beating LA is Ullrich, the last thing I want to see is LA mentioned in the same breath as the other 5 time champions.
I remember watching the Tour in 1997 and seeing Ullrich blast through the field and thought this guy was going to be the TdF champ for the next 7-8 years. The guy is the most talented cyclist in the world, LA is a close 2nd, who has less talent but better training and conditioning.
A new champion who at least is someone with some class who isn't so confrontational with the media, the other riders, and doesn't think he's bigger than the Tour.

I think that he is the best cyclist in world comment we hear so often is BS. He cannot match the devastating accelerations of the best climbers like LA , Pantani, Heras, etc... and many in the peloton can mtah his TT abilities (he ain't Indurain). So, Armstrong is a better climber and and worst an equal to Ullrich in the TT so how does that make him better? 1997 is a long time ago...

If you don't want to see Lance win, better turn off your TV now.

I've seen several posters of the same opinion. Just what makes him the "most talented cyclist in the world"?

I like Ullrich also but Lance has a lot of class and talent plus the ability to work hard and win!
