  1. I was on a steep portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway with no
    handholds around. I knew that regular freemounting was not
    going to be a happening thing. It was as good a time as any
    to try the rolling mount, so I made a few adjustments and
    gave it a whirl. After about ten false starts I was rolling
    down the hill wondering why I had never tried it before. It
    was easier than regular freemounting and a lot more
    comfortable. Now I can freemount on a steep hill! carjug

    Oh yeah, there were lots of bear prints in the snow.
