1. Hey there

I'm new to the Bike Cafe and was hoping to find some direction from some roadies out there.

I recently got some new rims & tires for my fixed gear bicycle (700Cx23 size) hoping I would be able to ride it on my rollers.

The gear ratio is 48/16 on this fixed gear, but I am finding it difficult to ride on the rollers as it seems I can't get the RPMs high enough to balance the bike on the rollers. It seems like the front wheel isn't turning at the same RPM as the rear wheel and this bike is also a heavier frame than my Cannondale which I do ride on the rollers no problems with a gear ratio of 52/18.

Any suggestions that would make my fixed gear bike more rideable on my rollers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your help.
